What we can help with

Hair & scalp PRP

A prepared concentration from the client’s own blood is delivered to support selected hair and scalp concerns.

Joint concerns

PRP may be considered for selected joint presentations following appropriate assessment.

Tendon concerns

A regenerative option for selected tendon problems where Lee’s service and pathway are appropriate.

Skin PRP

PRP can be used for selected skin-quality concerns, including treatment plans led within VIP Cosmedics.

Our approach

Planned with purpose.
Never selected by trend.

01

Screen

Health history, symptoms and suitability are reviewed before treatment is agreed.

02

Prepare

A blood sample is collected and processed to concentrate platelets for the intended treatment.

03

Treat

The prepared PRP is delivered using the planned method for the concern and treatment area.

04

Support

Aftercare, expected response and when to seek further medical assessment are explained clearly.

01Hair & scalp PRP

A blood sample is processed to concentrate platelets, then the client’s own PRP is delivered into the scalp for selected thinning concerns.

What it can help with

Support for selected non-scarring hair thinning after underlying causes have been considered.

Who it may suit

Clients with an appropriate pattern of loss. Sudden, patchy or medically unexplained hair loss should be investigated first.

Recommended course

Often an initial course of at least 3 sessions followed by maintenance according to response and the underlying concern.

Before treatment

Arrive hydrated, eat normally and disclose blood disorders, anaemia, medication, infection, fainting history and recent illness.

Aftercare

Avoid washing, products, sweating, heat, swimming and scalp treatments for the advised period.

Downtime & results

Tenderness, small bumps, bruising or headache can occur. Hair response is slow and improvement cannot be guaranteed.

Suitability, risks and expected outcomes are confirmed during consultation. Results vary between clients.

02Joint PRP

Prepared platelet-rich plasma is injected into a selected joint to support the body’s repair response after appropriate assessment.

What it can help with

Selected persistent joint pain or degenerative presentations where PRP may form part of a wider management plan.

Who it may suit

Clients whose symptoms have been appropriately assessed; severe injury, infection, acute swelling or unexplained pain may need imaging or specialist care first.

Recommended course

The number of treatments varies by joint, diagnosis and response; a course may be recommended rather than promising success from one injection.

Before treatment

Provide diagnoses, scans and medication history where available. Hydrate and disclose anticoagulants, blood conditions, infection and recent illness.

Aftercare

Relative rest is usually advised before gradual return to activity. Follow pain-relief guidance and seek help for increasing redness, fever or severe pain.

Downtime & results

A temporary inflammatory flare, swelling, bruising and soreness can occur. Improvement, where achieved, develops gradually.

Suitability, risks and expected outcomes are confirmed during consultation. Results vary between clients.

03Tendon PRP

PRP is placed into or around a selected tendon as part of a structured plan for suitable persistent tendon problems.

What it can help with

Selected tendinopathy where appropriate diagnosis, load management and rehabilitation have been considered.

Who it may suit

Clients with a confirmed or strongly supported tendon diagnosis; rupture, acute trauma or neurological symptoms require another pathway.

Recommended course

One or more treatments may be advised with sufficient review time. Rehabilitation remains important and PRP is not a replacement for appropriate physiotherapy.

Before treatment

Bring relevant scans or clinician letters and disclose medication, anticoagulants, infection, blood conditions and current rehabilitation.

Aftercare

Protect the area initially, then follow the planned progressive loading and rehabilitation advice. Report infection signs or disproportionate pain.

Downtime & results

Local soreness and a temporary flare are expected possibilities. Functional change is gradual and outcomes vary.

Suitability, risks and expected outcomes are confirmed during consultation. Results vary between clients.

Suitability & safety

Good treatment begins with knowing when not to treat.

PRP involves blood collection and injection and carries risks including bruising, discomfort, infection and lack of improvement. Joint and tendon symptoms may require medical diagnosis or imaging; PRP must not replace urgent or appropriate specialist care.
